The mind is a dangerous place sometimes. It is a place of solitude. It is a place where most people don't understand. Our mind is the place where we can create dreams or live out nightmares. The enemy knows the power of the mind and will use it as a way to debilitate us. We need to take every single thought captive.
What I LOVE about this interaction between the religious leaders and John the Baptist, is John's response to them.
He was doing the work God set him apart for. He was paving the road for Jesus to walk and to start his ministry that would lead him to the cross, and us to salvation. The Jewish leaders were so confused as to what authority was given to John that would validate his position in baptizing people (verse 24-25).
The one-on-one relationship Jude had with Jesus facilitated his relationship with the Father, thus allowing Jude to know exactly who he was. He knew his purpose, and he knew which paths would take him to the destination God desired for him. Jude acknowledged and accepted to become a slave to the one who gave him life.
